Background Dr McNickle graduated from Massey University, New Zealand, in 1979. After graduation, he worked in mixed practice for 3 years before entering equine practice in UK and U.A.E from 1981 – 1986. There he performed one of the first arthroscopies in the region. After the overseas stint, he spent the next 5 years back in New Zealand, performing cervical spinal surgery for equine wobblers syndrome and orthopaedics in two of the largest equine hospitals.
Before joining Companion Animal Surgery in 1995, he was the Head of Surgery at the Singapore Turf Club for 4 years and is one of the most experienced equine veterinarians in the region.
Interests He has interests in equine and small animal lameness, orthopaedics and arthroscopy.
